monterey park

The Observatory at Garvey Ranch Park in Monterey Park is a fully functioning Observatory run by the Los Angeles Astronomical Society. Open to the public, they meet every Wednesday night at 7pm. Many of the members work at places like JPL and Cal Tech but there are also several friendly local enthusiasts that bring their kids to use the telescope.
