What is a vinyl transfer & how can I get some? The simple answer is converting your 33 1/3 LP, 45 or 78 RPM disc into an audio CD or mp3.

The long playing record. Made out of polyvinyl chloride, or simply vinyl. Truly one of the great pleasures of the 20th Century. So many of us have wonderful memories and cherished experiences listening to our albums. My uncle tells the story of the day Sgt. Pepper’s was released and it seemed as if all of Laurel Canyon was playing the album as he was driving home. It was a cultural phenomenon that too often is ignored today as we grow older and stuff earbuds into our ear canal to listen to music.

It's now the 21st Century and the long-playing record, though not completely forgotten, has been replaced by the CD and mp3 player. What to do when your favorite album or cassette tape has not been released on CD or iTunes hasn't a clue who are The Fugs or Mama Lion. The answer is you call me. That’s how I got into this little bit of Ken Rubin’s Macintosh, to get onto a disc a couple of albums not yet released.

I can take your 45's and 33 1/3 vinyl, and even 78 RPM lacquer discs, and convert them into clear sounding digital music. Discs are first cleaned thoroughly and then I use state-of-the-art click and pop removal software, reduce the hiss and can even index the tracks so your music can be played song by song. The truth is new vinyl sounds better than digital, but old vinyl probably does not. Give me a call and relive some of the best moments of your life.

Sound restoration and track indexing are optional.

CDs have a blank label and are delivered in a paper sleeve. Custom labeling and a jewel case are available.

Converting vinyl albums to audio CD. Can do the same with your 78's and 45's.
